You can delete your Whatrobe account at any time, and you do not need to contact us to do it. Deletion is permanent and removes your wardrobe, your photos, and your generated outfits. Choose whichever option below suits you.

Option 1 — delete it yourself in the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

  1. Open Whatrobe and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Go to the You tab (the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar).
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen to the Danger zone section.
  4. Tap Delete account.
  5. Confirm twice — we ask for a second confirmation because the action cannot be undone.

Your account and data are deleted right away, and you are signed out automatically.

Option 2 — request deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, cannot sign in, or would simply prefer us to do it, send an email to privacy@whatrobe.app with the subject “Delete my account”.

Please send the request from the email address linked to your Whatrobe account — this is how we verify the request is really yours. We respond within 30 days of receipt, in line with Article 12(3) GDPR, and in practice usually much sooner.

What gets deleted

Everything below is removed permanently and cannot be recovered:

What we keep, and for how long

One narrow exception applies. We retain a minimal record needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (for example, proof that a subscription payment took place) for up to 3 years after deletion, matching the statutory limitation periods. This is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest — and this data is not used for any other purpose. After that period it is permanently deleted or anonymized.

Server logs containing your IP address are deleted 30 days after the event, independently of your account.

If you have an active subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription, because your subscription is billed by the app store, not by us. Cancel it first to avoid further charges:
